The Prayer Covenant for Preschoolers

11-Week Curriculum Teaching Children to Pray

The Prayer Covenant for Preschoolers is a free, engaging curriculum designed to introduce children to the power of prayer. Developed by the CLA Kids Team, this program is not just a kids’ church curriculum but a powerful family discipleship tool.

After teaching school-age children to pray the Prayer Covenant…we thought, what an advantage it is to learn to pray as a preschooler. The 10 prayer points outlined on the prayer card represent a progression through some very important discipleship lessons in the spiritual formation of children.

In the video content you will meet Peter and his friend, a fun-loving preschooler puppet named Pip. Peter and Pip interact around 10 Prayer Points that are geared to things that a preschooler might experience in their little lives. Along with the teaching video on each prayer point, there is a beautiful Animated Bible Story, and Bible Story Cards to read to the children and interact even more at their level of understanding.

Talk to Jesus

The actual Prayer Covenant for Preschoolers has been put to song, so each child can learn the prayer by singing it. The song itself is very serene, almost lullaby-like to bring children into a quiet place to pray!

Arranged and Performed by Abigail Markham and Jacob Hamilton.

EACH LESSON CONTAINS:

  1. Teacher Devotional

  2. Short Introductory Videos called Teach Me to Pray

EXTRA RESOURCES: Our partners at The Prayer Covenant have amazing resources that are available to order or you can download them for free.  We highly recommend that each child receives the prayer covenant card to take home for the parent.  www.theprayercovenant.org/resources

If only someone would have introduced me to the Prayer Covenant as a child – it would have been a game changer!

It’s hard to express the joy I felt that came from hearing how families were sitting around their tables discussing and applying ways to strengthen their relationship with Jesus through prayer. It was heartwarming to see the posts on our FB group from prayer chairs, prayer journals, prayer raps, forgiveness chains, children worshiping, and one of our leaders was inspired to make an original prayer rap that we shared with our families! The prayer covenant ran for 11 weeks, but the lessons they learned will impact their families for a lifetime!
